Alyssa Waddington, Esq.

Why Students Trust Me

I passed the Uniform Bar Exam with a score of 288, including an MBE score in approximately the 90th percentile. More importantly, I understand exactly what it takes to prepare for one of the most demanding professional exams, and I know how overwhelming that journey can feel.

Since 2024, I've had the privilege of coaching law students and bar examinees, helping them strengthen their writing, improve their exam strategy, and build the confidence needed to succeed. Today, I serve as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, where I rely on legal writing, persuasive advocacy, and strategic analysis every day. Those same skills form the foundation of my coaching.

Whether we're refining essays, mastering the MPT, or improving MBE performance, every session is designed with one objective: to help you earn more points.

Academically, I graduated Magna Cum Laude, finishing third in my graduating class at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. During law school, I served as a Dean's Fellow, Research Assistant for the President and Dean, James McGrath, Law Review Associate Editor, and earned multiple Certificates of Merit. In 2025, I was honored to be recognized as the 2025 National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award for my academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to the legal profession.

While I'm proud of those accomplishments, credentials alone don't help students pass the bar. Strategy does.

My Coaching Philosophy

The difference between passing and failing is rarely intelligence. More often, it's strategy. Most students don't need more outlines. They need someone who can identify what's holding them back, show them how bar examiners award points, and help them perform when it matters most.

Every coaching plan is personalized because every student's path to passing is different. This is why I built my coaching around four core principles:

Diagnose: Identify exactly where you're losing points and why.

Strategize: Develop a personalized roadmap focused on the highest-impact improvements.

Refine: Strengthen your writing, sharpen your legal analysis, and build consistent exam habits through individualized feedback.

Perform: Walk into exam day with confidence, knowing you have a proven strategy and not just another outline.

My Promise to Every Student

When we work together, you're not simply hiring a tutor. You're gaining a coach who is invested in your success, committed to your growth, and focused on helping you perform at your highest potential.

My goal isn't simply to teach you the law. My goal is to teach you how to think, write, and perform like someone who passes the bar exam.

Because passing the bar isn't about studying harder. It's about preparing smarter, performing confidently, and earning every point you've worked for.

I'd be honored to be part of your journey. Whether you're preparing for your first attempt, returning after a previous exam, or looking for a more strategic approach, I'm here to help you replace uncertainty with confidence and build a plan designed specifically for you.

Together, we'll create the strategy that gives you the best opportunity to walk into exam day ready to succeed.
